Become a Homestay Host

Our international program is rapidly growing and GETI provides homestay for short-term stays and long-term placements. Living in homestay is compulsory for all students under 18 and offers students the chance to experience Australian culture, develop their English language skills – and make new friends!

Opening your home to students offers a rewarding learning experience for hosts, as students provide insight into their culture and share their ideas and perspectives. Click below for more information:

WORLD CHALLENGE BORNEO 2019

Have you heard about our proposed World Challenge Trip to Borneo in September 2019? The trip involves an expedition style hike, camping and outdoor activities, and a community engagement project. Enrolling students will be able to complete an Outdoor Education syllabus alongside this trip. A parent information session will be held at 7pm on 29th May, following the parent-teacher night.

Getting The Most Out of Life

Elizabeth College are holding two big college – wide events this term.

The annual Careers Expo on Wednesday 30th may will feature stalls from a wide range of industries, UTAS, TasTAFE, a range of apprenticeship and traineeship providers and gap year options are available to answer students’ questions.

At the inaugural Wellness Expo on Wednesday 6 June, students will discover the many avenues for support offered by community groups and agencies outside the college – whether they are needed now or in the future.

Please read through the Orientation Day Program which includes a program for the day, some general information, and short descriptors for each of the subjects from which you can choose.
