Why Study at Elizabeth College?
Elizabeth College has a long history of accepting international students so teachers are experienced in catering for the special needs of students from overseas. We also have enthusiastic teachers who are highly skilled and qualified in their subject area.
We have tutorial programs in Maths and Science, which help our students achieve high results. Our international students consistently achieve high university entrance scores.
Elizabeth College (EC) is located a short 10 minute walk up Elizabeth Street from the centre of Hobart.
Students find the location of our school very convenient. Due to its central location, there are more transport options to and from College.
Term 4 Intensive English, Connections and Cultural Immersion Program
During Term 4 enrolled international students can join our Intensive English, Connections and Cultural Immersion Program. Students focus on developing their English proficiency with a focus on language, mathematics, science, forming connections and participating in cultural activities . The aim of this program is to develop skills, confidence, competence and connections prior to the start of the formal school year.
This program is staffed by EC staff and supported by GETI (Government Education Training International).

Excursions
The most important priority for the International Student Program team at Elizabeth College is for our students to achieve great results and go to the very best university they can. However, while our international students are studying at our school we like to take them on excursions to show them Tasmania and to give them a break from their studies.
