Students are responsible for upholding academic integrity and its principles when undertaking studies and submitting course work for assessment. This means that the work you submit is your own and where information from another source is used, it has been acknowledged correctly.
Canvas is our online learning platform where you will find information about classes, learning activities and assessment tasks for each of your subjects. Check with your teachers about how they will be using Canvas to support your learning.
All students are entitled to a copy of Microsoft 365, where you can access your student email and the suite of Microsoft 365 applications. You are expected to check your email regularly.
Dave Newcombe is the Careers Advisor at Elizabeth College. He is available to provide advice on various career-related matters including university and TasTAFE courses, apprenticeships and traineeships, part-time/casual job applications and resumes, as well as offering general career planning advice. Dave can help explain career pathways, course options, ATAR and Tasmanian Certificate of Education requirements. Dave also works closely with Hobart City High School to help prepare Year 10 students for their transition to college. You can visit Dave in the Careers Centre in the Library or make an appointment for one-on-one assistance.
Our Library Learning Hub is a vibrant and welcoming study space at the heart of the College. Ask one of our friendly Library staff for help finding resources and referencing for your assessment tasks; borrowing all kinds of books, magazines and audio-visual texts; photocopying and printing; and how to access a whole world of scholarly research through our subscription databases.
Students interested in developing leadership skills and in representing the student body can join the Student Leadership Group. The group meets weekly and you can self-nominate if you wish to join. Members of the Student Leadership Group contribute to and organise community activities such as charity events, student initiatives and activities, and student representative projects, such as grounds redevelopment. Student wellbeing is also a focus for the Student Leadership Group.
Our Student Services team includes Counsellors, Youth Workers, Support Teachers, School Health Nurses, a Psychologist, Social Worker, Aboriginal Educator, Careers Advisor, Chaplain and Campus Support Manager. The team are qualified specialists who can help you with advice and support on a range of issues including enrolment and course information, future pathways and personal issues such as relationships, housing, allowances, finances, and mental health. They offer confidential services and can organise referrals for outside agencies.
TASC is the qualifications authority for Tasmania and manages all Year 11 and 12 courses. TASC will oversee your external assessment and will issue your results and your TCE or TCEA at the end of Year 12.

Tutorials are offered by our expert teaching team at convenient times to provide extra support. They give you the opportunity to ask questions, complete tasks and undertake assessment preparation. Tutorials give teachers the opportunity to provide additional explanations and feedback and check in on understanding. Peer tutoring is also available via the Library Learning Hub. All students are encouraged to take part.
