We have a dedicated and expert team of people who provide advice and support around careers, transition and future pathways in including around:
– Senior Secondary course planning
– Understanding the TCE and ATAR
-Work experience supports
– Post School options such as university and TasTAFE courses, apprenticeships and traineeships
– Employment support: job applications and resume development
– Application support: university, TAFE, police and ADF, scholarships
Career-related activities offered at Elizabeth College include:
– individual and group conversations
– High School visits to inform and support transition to Year 11
– Parent/ Carer Forums
– Careers and Subject Expos
– career talks from experts in their chosen field
– visits by group and training organisations
– University of Tasmania workshops; Inter State university guest speakers
– support to attend a variety of ‘taster days’ including medicine, pharmacy, nursing/paramedics and biomedical research
– provision of resources to inform and explore
