This year, Howrah Plumbing is hosting a “Try a Trade” session at their workshop in Electra Place, designed specifically for women who are curious about trades but may not have had the chance to try one in a practical, low pressure environment.
On the day, they will have a series of realistic plumbing scenarios set up with simple faults, fittings, and problem-solving tasks that participants can get stuck into. No experience needed. No expectations. Just a chance to have a go, ask questions, and see what the work actually looks like.
Howrah Plumbing female apprentices will be onsite throughout the session to guide participants, talk honestly about their pathways, and answer questions about apprenticeships, training, and working in the trade day-to-day.
